About Valuations
Our Valuations team have been involved in advanced financial modelling for assets in infrastructure, real estate, renewable and agriculture sectors. We help clients identify, measure and articulate the value of their businesses, securities, assets and liabilities in today’s ever-changing business landscape and rigorous regulatory environment by providing independent, well-supported valuations.

The main objective of the role is to contribute to our business growth by developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key business decision-makers, providing guidance/expertise/training on various valuation engagements, and lead the team towards excellence in service delivery.
About the Group /Division:
– Asset Management business is a full-service asset manager, providing clients with access to a diverse range of capabilities and products including infrastructure, real assets, equities, fixed income, liquid alternatives & multi-asset investment management solutions
The role in discussion is with MAM’s most profitable division known as Real Assets. Real Assets is world’s largest infrastructure asset manager and manages approximately A$130 billion of assets globally.
About the Role:
– As a valuations expert, you will be required to prepare and update fund and asset models and produce investor reports
– You will have an opportunity to work with the global asset teams and senior leadership and get good exposure of the Private Equity industry
– This would be a good opportunity for you if you have experience or want to gain experience in financial modelling, valuations and asset reporting and keen to work in a dynamic and performance driven organisation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
– Roll-forward and review valuation models of varying complexities for Infrastructure, Renewables and Real Assets investments of differing sizes and geographies
– Develop strong familiarity with the asset economics which directly impact valuation
– Understand and review asset reports regularly and update valuation models in consultation with asset managers, as necessary
– Independent evaluation of key valuation assumptions
– Write asset valuation report / commentary, as necessary
– Work in a collaborative team analysing client issues and recommending solutions
– Prioritize objectives and contribute to project execution and status reporting
– Directly liaise with and develop relationships with client and engagement team members.
– Ensure smooth service delivery within the defined competency/geographical area
– Work on several Automation task at MAM level which is being led by Valuation team
Required Skill & Experience:
– Professional degree MBA/CFA (International)
– Preferably, relevant financial modelling experience, ideally building Project Finance valuation model
– Preferably, experience with any of the Consulting firms, leading investment banks, or their support centres would be highly regarded
– In-depth understanding of financial and valuation principles
– Sound grasp of MS Excel
– Knowledge of how different investment structures work would be an added advantage – convertibles, straight equity, shareholder loans etc.
– Excellent analytical teamwork competencies
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Interest in working in a challenging and dynamic environment
– Ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization
– Interest in obtaining international experience
