Job Description :
– We are seeking an experienced and strategic Credit Control Manager to lead and optimize our credit and collections operations. This role is critical in maintaining healthy cash flow, minimizing credit risk, and fostering strong relationships with our clients and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in credit control, preferably within the NBFC/Fintech/e-commerce sector, and will be proficient in financial tools, including Tally

The company has also ventured into the BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) model, enhancing accessibility and financial flexibility for buyers.
Description:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Credit Management & Policy Development
– Design and enforce robust credit control policies and procedures tailored to business needs.
– Assess the creditworthiness of clients through financial analysis, credit reports, and payment histories.
– Establish and review credit limits and payment terms for clients, ensuring alignment with company goals.
2. Collections & Risk Mitigation:
– Drive timely collection of receivables to sustain positive cash flow.
– Regularly monitor accounts receivable to identify overdue accounts and take appropriate recovery actions.
– Proactively mitigate bad debt risks through comprehensive credit assessment and effective recovery strategies.
– Oversee the entire collection process till the time of recovery.
– Coordinate with the legal team for timely recovery and legal notices.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Team Leadership:
– Partner with sales, finance, and operations teams to align credit practices with overall business objectives.
– Lead, mentor, and manage the credit control team to enhance efficiency and achieve performance goals.
– Build and maintain strong client relationships to negotiate payment terms and resolve disputes effectively.
4. Reporting & Compliance:
– Ensure compliance with local financial and legal regulations, including GST and other statutory requirements.
– Provide periodic reports and insights on accounts receivable, credit risks, and collection metrics to senior management.
– Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting credit control practices.
Profile:
Qualifications & Skills:
Educational Background:
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
– Advanced qualifications such as CA, CPA, CMA, or an MBA in Finance are strongly preferred.
Professional Experience:
– A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or financial management.
– Prior experience in the NBFC/Fintech/e-commerce industry is highly desirable.
Technical & Interpersonal Skills:
– Proficiency in Tally and familiarity with other ERP systems or financial tools is essential.
– Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial risk management, and regulatory compliance.
– Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
– Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
