Overview
Job Responsibilities:
– Ensure timely and accurate filing of income tax returns, TDS returns, and other statutory tax filings.
– Handle corporate tax assessments, appeals, and litigation including drafting replies, attending hearings, and coordinating with tax consultants/legal counsel.
– Manage tax audits under Income Tax Act and assist in statutory audits.
– Monitor and manage advance tax computations and payments.
– Provide strategic tax planning and advisory support to ensure tax efficiency and compliance.
– Review and validate tax-related financial transactions and provisions.
– Analyze the impact of changes in tax laws and regulations on the business and communicate implications.
– Ensure proper documentation and compliance under Transfer Pricing regulations, if applicable.
– Coordinate with internal departments and external consultants on tax issues and audits.
– Support M&A due diligence and restructuring from a direct tax perspective, as required.
– Maintain up-to-date knowledge of direct tax laws and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory
Additional certifications in tax or law would be an added advantage
