Chief Manager Finance and Accounts


We are looking for an experienced Chartered Accountant to join our Finance team as Chief Manager Finance and Accounts. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in accounting, direct and indirect taxation, and compliance, along with demonstrated leadership and process improvement capabilities. Experience in manufacturing or BFSI sectors is highly desirable.

Roles and Responsibilities

Direct Tax Compliance


– Compute and review TDS liability monthly

– File quarterly TDS returns (26Q, 24Q, 27Q) and revise earlier returns to address discrepancies

– Analyze TDS applicability on various transactions and address defaults or interest payments

– Issue TDS/TCS certificates quarterly

– Perform 26AS reconciliations for all entities before filing IT returns

Indirect Tax Compliance (GST)


– Compute monthly GST liability and file GSTR-3B & GSTR-1 (across multiple states)

– Reconcile GST ITC with books and GSTR 2A/2B, coordinating with vendors and accountants

– Prepare data for annual GST return and GST audit

– Ensure timely GST payments and manage registration/amendments

Accounting and Compliance


– Prepare financial statements in compliance with Schedule III of the Companies Act 2013

– Ensure adherence to accounting standards, coordinate audits, and prepare income tax returns

– Conduct analytical reviews of P&L and balance sheet accounts; prepare cash flow and forecast statements

– Supervise daily accounting activities, book closure, and bank reconciliations

– Maintain accuracy in Tally ERP9 and monitor ledger compliance and GL activities

– Reconcile accounts receivables, vendor balances, and statutory accounts

– Prepare MIS reports and implementation updates monthly

– Support statutory audit requirements with accurate and timely documentation

Technical Competencies


– Strong expertise in accounting, auditing, and direct/indirect tax compliance

– Proven experience with IFC implementation and process automation

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting tools (Tally ERP9 preferred)
