Overview
RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Integrally involved with all aspects of the private equity investment process, including sourcing, and evaluating potential investments; performing due diligence; handling negotiations; structuring and closing transactions.
– Learning and following the dynamics of the industries covered; building relationships with management teams, the firms senior advisors, as well as external advisors and industry experts; identifying attractive investment themes and opportunities; gathering and synthesizing industry and market data.
– Extensive analysis on potential investments, including in-depth financial modelling; managing the due diligence process, including overseeing legal, tax, and commercial diligence advisors; drafting and presenting oral and written materials to management and investors; monitoring and reporting on portfolio company performance; and developing and supporting operational initiatives within portfolio companies.
– Monitoring and implementing improvements at portfolio companies; exiting investments; and interacting with the firms investors, clients, and limited partners.
– Ability to join a dedicated team of professionals taking it from inception through to a large corporation. Should be able to manage an investment team and work in the team culture of the parent company.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Key attributes of the successful candidates would be:
– 7+ years of overall experience; a minimum 2-3 years of India Private Equity buy-side experience is strongly preferred. Deep understanding of Deep Tech/ AI Sectors.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of finance and accounting is required; ability to interact with top management teams is a must.
– Understanding of business dynamics across key sectors, characteristics of good investments, and good financial and analytical skills are expected.
– Outstanding academic background with undergraduate degree from IITs / equivalent qualification, along with post graduate degree in business / accounting from premier institutes
