About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced, highly ethical, and financially astute Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and manage the financial affairs of a single-family office overseeing assets of approximately USD 30 million. The CFO will be responsible for investment oversight (both public and private markets), tax optimization, legal liaison, and overall financial strategy. The role requires a deep understanding of wealth management, tax-advantaged investing, and working closely with external advisors, including Big 4 firms and legal counsel.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Investment Oversight & Strategy

– Develop, monitor, and optimize asset allocation strategies across public markets (equities, bonds, etc.) and private investments (VC, PE, real estate, etc.).

– Conduct due diligence on new investment opportunities and manage portfolio performance tracking.

– Coordinate with external fund managers, analysts, and investment advisors.

2. Tax Planning & Compliance

– Design and execute tax-efficient investment structures.

– Collaborate with tax advisors and Big 4 consultants to ensure compliance and optimization.

– Oversee local and international tax filings and reporting requirements.

3. Legal & Regulatory Coordination

– Act as the key liaison with external legal counsel for structuring investments, estate planning, and regulatory compliance.

– Ensure all entities are in legal compliance and that asset protection strategies are in place.

4. Financial Management & Reporting

– Oversee all accounting and reporting functions across family assets and entities.

– Prepare regular financial reports and dashboards for the principal.

– Manage budgeting, cash flow, and liquidity planning.

5. Governance & Risk Management

– Implement robust governance and risk management frameworks.

– Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of family financial data.

Qualifications & Experience:

– MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution or Chartered Accountant (CA).

– Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, ideally with a background in wealth management, investment banking, or a similar family office role.

– Proven experience in handling both private and public market investments.

– Strong knowledge of Indian and international tax laws and experience with tax-advantaged investment strategies.

– Familiarity with working alongside Big 4 firms, lawyers, and global financial institutions.

– Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
