Principal responsibilities
– Asset Level Service Continuity Plan -To be coordinated with Business.
– ITSCM – IT Service Chain Map -To be coordinated with IT team.
– TRVA – Technology Resilience Vulnerability Assessment – To be coordinated with IT team.
– BRVA – Business Resilience Vulnerability Assessment – To be refreshed/reviewed every year for any changes.
– ITOL/SRTO – Impact Tolerance/ Service Recovery Time Objective Review – To be refreshed/reviewed every year for any changes.
– Scenario testing – To be coordinated with Business.
– Self-Assessment – To be coordinated with Business and Risk Steward.
– Quarterly Assessment Attestation – To be coordinated with BSO.
– Papers for BRF, RMM forums – To be coordinated with BSO.
– Document and manage all material on the nominated repository.
Impact on Business
– Facilitate, support and manage all activities as part of the BAU Operational Resilience requirements.
– Support Business Transformation team to transition operational resilience requirements into BAU and ensure effective controls in place.
– Assist in the development any actions to effectively execute operational resilience requirements and deadlines.
– Conduct regular reviews to ensure operational resilience artefacts are current and approved.
– Monitor and support any testing associated to operational resilience reporting.
Customers / Stakeholders
– Provide guidance, support to the entity BSO and Subject Matter Experts (SME), ensuring key stakeholders are kept adequately informed.
– Work collaborativley with the entity BSO and SME’s.
– Maintain a strong partnership with all appropriate functions, in particular 2nd line risk stewards, the Chief Control Office team and Group.
Leadership & Teamwork
– Support achievement of the vision, values, goals and culture in personal behaviour, actions and decision making.
– Support the BSO and Chief Control Offices with technical leadership and understanding of the Operational Resilience process and requirements.
– Contributing to constructive cross-country and cross-business teamwork by demonstrating collaboration actions and challenging actions and behaviours that are not consistent with diversity policy and/or the best interests of the business and its customers.
– Maintain and support the enhancement of the global / local operating procedures to improve controls and minimise any risk.
Operational Effectiveness & Control
– Ensure that the UK Asset Management business is compliant with the key components of the Operational Resilience Framework, in particular:
– Lead coordinator with entity BSO on a regular basis.
– IBS – Important Business Service Refresh/Review – AM generally has 1 IBS and will not change yearly.
– CVSM – Customer Value Stream Map – To be refreshed/reviewed every year for any changes and coordinated with Business.
– EUC Controls Assessment – To be refreshed/reviewed every year for any changes and coordinated with Business.
– DUSE (Data Use Controls) -To be refreshed/reviewed every year for any changes and coordinated with Business.
– BPM – Business Process Map -To be coordinated with BPM team.
Qualifications – External
– Higher Education qualification (e.g. university degree / professional exams)
– Risk, Compliance or Audit experience working within Financial Services.
– Understanding of operational risk management frameworks
– Understanding of key risks and controls arising within asset management desirable.
– Previous experience of undertaking control walk-throughs and substantive testing.
– Experience of reviewing business incidents including root cause analysis.
Leadership/delivery skills
– Successful track record of leading and delivering to time and quality.
– Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and to tight deadlines.
Stakeholder Relationship skills
– Strong demonstrable oral and written communication skills.
– Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
IT Skills
– Intuitive ability to understand and use new systems.
– Strong capabilities with MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel (macro programming not required), Microsoft Teams and Confluence.
