Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and analytically strong Investment Banking professional to lead coverage and deal execution in the transportation, logistics, and mobility infrastructure segment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of Indias transportation landscape, including freight, logistics, road, rail, and air cargo, and will drive origination, structuring, and execution of transactions including M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory.
Key Responsibilities:
Sectoral Coverage:
– Lead sector coverage for transportation, logistics, and infrastructure-focused clients (fleet operators, 3PLs, cargo, ports, cold chain, etc.).
– Identify and track industry trends (e.g., EV transition, digital logistics, PPP models, DFC expansion) to generate actionable insights.
Deal Origination:
– Source and originate mandates across M&A, private equity, IPO advisory, and structured finance.
– Build strong C-suite relationships with corporates and investors across the transportation value chain.
Deal Execution:
– Lead execution of live deals financial modeling, due diligence, valuation, pitchbooks, IMs, term sheets.
– Work with internal legal, compliance, and credit teams to ensure deal integrity and compliance.
Stakeholder Management:
– Liaise with private equity firms, sovereign wealth funds, and infrastructure funds for investment opportunities.
– Work closely with other verticals within the bank (corporate lending, DCM, treasury, ECM) for integrated solutions.
Thought Leadership:
– Represent HDFC Bank in industry forums, logistics summits, and government interaction platforms.
– Publish sector insights and strategic papers to deepen client engagement.
Key Requirements:
– 1020 years of experience in Investment Banking / Corporate Finance / Infra Funds with a focus on transportation/logistics.
– Deep sector knowledge in trucking, 3PL, express logistics, cold chain, mobility, or port/rail infra.
– Strong financial modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring skills.
– MBA/CA/CFA from a premier institute preferred.
– Excellent communication, client relationship, and presentation skills.
