Role: Dairy Finance Manager

Job Location: Ogere, Nigeria

Education: CA / CMA / CPA

Experience: 5 to 10 years

Age: 30 to 45 years

Job Responsibilities:

– Prepare the Annual Business Budget in collaboration with all business units and functions, and submit it to the Board of Directors for approval as per the schedule

– Prepare the Mid-Year Business Budget together with all business units and functions and submit it to the Board of Directors for approval as per the schedule. The mid-year budget should ensure alignment with the company’s objective for revenue, sales volume, and profit growth

– Manage the monthly, half-yearly, and yearly consolidated profit and loss account of the company to achieve budget targets, along with the individual profit and loss accounts of different business units through GMs/BU Heads

– Develop high-quality SOPs with the team to improve and sustain efficiency in key finance operations

– Oversee the company’s financial performance, including asset management, cash flow, banking relations, SAP management, risk management, audits and investments

– Ensure periodic stock audits and take necessary steps for improvement

– Conduct monthly, half-yearly, and yearly financial analysis for the business group

– Develop job descriptions for all positions in the finance department, through HR, and design an efficient KPI system for all roles, utilizing a Matrix Management approach

– Establish and enforce an Authorization Management System, empowering the team to make timely and effective financial decisions

– Analyze financial challenges and provide solutions to ensure smooth operations and growth within the Finance department

– Organize and lead financial management, including cost management, budget planning, accounting, audit supervision, and inventory control, to strengthen the company’s financial standing and improve economic benefits

– Oversee the execution of internal audit activities to ensure financial accuracy and compliance

– Ensure the company’s compliance with national financial laws, regulations, guidelines and policies, safeguarding shareholder’s rights and interests

– Review and analyze major financial contracts and agreements and provide recommendations for strategic financial decisions

– Serve as the company’s representative in the financial matters, maintaining strong relationship with external departments and institutions

– Prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly financial statements

– Ensure tax compliance with accurate projections based on business volume and proper financial record-keeping

– Manage and oversee the organization’s taxation affairs, liasing with external tax firms for specialized advice

– Ensure all external agencies are handled efficiently, preventing any legal or administrative issues that could damage the company’s reputation or lead to financial burdens

– Manage relationship with external auditors, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations

– Manage hedging and foreign currency transactions, if applicable

– Oversee the company’s banking and borrowing arrangements

– Ensure funds are available for purchases (both international and local) to sustain business operations

– Ensure adequate funding is allocated for new projects, including order equipment and initiating project startups

– Manage fund transfers between different bank accounts and maintain strong relationship with banks to facilitate loans and financial transactions

– Ensure accurate accounting to prevent financial losses and verify the adequacy of all payments

– Assess financial risks and implement mitigation plans, including insurance coverage for warehouses and other company assets

– Implement risk management framework to ensure the business has a solid financial risk strategy in place

– Provide financial recommendations and best practices to optimize revenue generation and cost reduction

Technical Skills:

– Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Tally) and financial modelling tools (Excel, PowerBI)

– In-depth knowledge of FIRS, PAYEE, tax regulation and compliance standards

– Experience in risk management is a PLUS

Contract Terms and Expat Benefits:

– Two years contract period, renewed on mutual consent

– Quarterly Salary (Basic + KPI payout) + Annual Bonus at Diwali time

– Shared House girl for cleaning room / washing clothes / ironing etc.

– Gym , entertainment parlor with Karaoke , DSTV available in the complex etc.

– Departmental vehicles available for official or personal usage (may have to be shared based on availability)

– Free internet , drinking water from company

– Laptop allowance for using personal laptop for company work.

– Reasonable number of Uniform shirts for office wear.

– Work – Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm . Saturday 9 am to 2 pm .
