Overview

We’re looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented professional who will lead our Import-Export, EoU, and GST compliance activities. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise with Indian Customs, Foreign Trade Policies, Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes, and tax regulations. This is an individual contributor role that requires proactive thinking, strong stakeholder management, and exceptional leadership skills.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Import & Export Operations:

– Supervise the entire import/export process, ensuring all goods clear customs efficiently and comply with legal requirements.

– Provide practical expertise on Customs procedures, SEZ, DTA, re-exports, and related compliances.

– Manage pre- and post-shipment paperwork and maintain all transaction records for audits.

– Coordinate with CHA, freight agents, and logistics partners for seamless shipments.

– Identify and resolve potential compliance risks in advance.

EoU Compliance:

– Act as the primary liaison for all EoU matters, ensuring adherence to bonding, warehousing, and consumption norms.

– Prepare and submit periodic EoU returns including Softex, QPR, APR, etc.

– Maintain audit-ready records and manage relationships with Customs and related authorities.

GST Compliance:

– Handle all GST compliance across monthly, quarterly, and annual returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, CMP-08, GSTR-9/9C, etc.

– Support GST audits, perform data reconciliations, and stay updated on policy changes.

Government Incentives:

– Oversee compliance with all applicable export incentive programs, including MEIS, RoDTEP, and other industry-specific incentives.

– Stay current with new schemes and policy updates.

– Cross-Functional Liaison & Leadership

– Work closely with Finance, Operations, Legal, and other teams to streamline processes and maintain compliance.

– Influence and educate teams on trade and tax compliance matters.

– Represent the company with regulatory bodies like Customs, DGFT, GST authorities, etc.

Qualifications & Skills:

– Degree in Finance, Commerce, Law, or a related discipline (CA/MBA preferred).

– Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience with proven expertise in EoU setups, Customs & GST laws, and trade compliance.

– Skilled in using customs portals and tax filing tools.

– Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills.
