Job Title: Equity Research Analyst – FMCG Sector
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and insightful Equity Research Analyst to cover the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of company fundamentals, consumer trends, valuation methodologies, and macroeconomic influences affecting the sector. You will work closely with the fund management team, providing research-based investment ideas and sector insights to support portfolio decisions across AIFs, PMS, and mutual fund strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct in-depth fundamental research and financial analysis of listed companies within the FMCG sector.
– Develop and maintain detailed financial models, earnings forecasts, and valuation analyses.
– Track key industry trends, regulatory developments, and global consumer behavior affecting the sector.
– Prepare and present high-quality research reports, investment theses, and quarterly earnings reviews.
– Attend analyst calls, investor presentations, AGMs, and management meetings to gain insights.
– Generate actionable investment ideas and make buy/sell/hold recommendations.
– Collaborate closely with fund managers and investment committees to support stock selection and portfolio construction.
– Maintain and update research database and sector watchlists.
