Overview

The Finance Controller will oversee the financial health of the group by managing core financial
operations, strategic planning, internal controls, compliance, and reporting. This role combines the tactical responsibilities of Business Finance with the leadership and governance scope of a Finance Controller, ensuring financial discipline, cost efficiency, and value creation across all four entities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

– Develop and manage comprehensive financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long
term planning.

– Monitor and control P&L across all entities with insightful variance analysis and corrective
actions.

– Provide strategic input to leadership based on financial projections and scenario planning.


2. Business Performance & LOB Analysis

– Analyze line of business (LOB) financials and KPIs to drive data-backed decisions.

– Work with business heads to provide recommendations for revenue growth, margin
improvement, and operational efficiency.


3. Credit Control & Receivables Management

– Track Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and Days Payables Outstanding (DPO) across group
entities.

– Implement systems for timely billing and follow-ups with clients to ensure prompt collections.

– Coordinate with business teams to resolve disputes and ensure healthy receivable ageing.


4. Cost Centre & Cash Flow Management

– Manage all cost centres across companies, ensuring budgetary controls and spend discipline.

– Conduct trend analysis and cost optimization initiatives to improve financial performance.

– Oversee working capital management and maintain healthy cash flow positions.


5. Financial Controls, Audit & Compliance

– Establish and maintain robust financial controls, systems, and policies in alignment with
statutory requirements.

– Ensure timely filings, audits, and regulatory compliance under Companies Act, Income Tax,
GST, and other applicable laws.

– Liaise effectively with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits, provide required
documentation, resolve audit queries, and implement audit recommendations.

6. MIS & Financial Reporting


– Prepare timely and accurate MIS reports for internal management and investor requirements.

– Consolidate financial statements across all group companies and provide actionable insights.


7. Risk Management & Investment Analysis

– Conduct cost-benefit analysis (CBA), risk assessment, and investment feasibility studies.

– Support decision-making for expansion, diversification, or capital expenditure projects.


8. Treasury & Fund Management

– Liaise with banks and financial institutions for fund management, credit lines, and banking
operations.

– Monitor interest costs, financial covenants, and ensure optimal utilization of financial
resources.

9. Inter-Departmental Collaboration

– Work closely with other departments (including operations, warehouse, procurement, and
HR) to align financial processes and support overall business strategy.

– Promote financial accountability and data transparency across departments.


Candidate Profile

– Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred; MBA Finance with strong credentials may also be
considered.

– 510 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership/controllership role.

– Experience in group company structures or multi-entity finance operations is a strong plus.

– Proven ability to manage audits and compliance requirements across multiple entities.

– Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and hands-on proficiency with
financial software/ERP tools.
