Job Description:
The Equity Analyst will analyze companies within the Power, Auto, Capital Goods, and Cement sectors. This role requires expertise in financial modeling, sector-specific research, and delivering actionable insights to support investment strategies. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Indian market dynamics, industry-specific drivers, and economic trends affecting these key sectors
Financial Analysis & Modelling
– Develop, maintain, and refine detailed financial models for companies in the Power, Auto, Capital Goods, and Cement sectors
– Analyse historical financial data and project future earnings, cash flows, and valuation metrics
– Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess potential outcomes and risk factors specific to each sector Equity Research & Market Analysis
– Conduct fundamental research on publicly listed stocks within the Power, Auto, Capital Goods, and Cement sectors
– Monitor economic indicators, regulatory changes, and industry trends that impact these sectors
– Perform comparative analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats among peer companies Report Preparation & Presentation
– Prepare detailed research reports with buy/sell/hold recommendations and comprehensive analysis
– Present findings and investment strategies to senior management and key stakeholders
– Stay informed on domestic and global developments affecting each sector to provide relevant insights Risk Assessment & Valuation
– Conduct thorough valuation assessments using DCF, P/E, and other methodologies
– Track and Analyse credit, market, and operational risks within specified sectors
– Provide timely updates and risk mitigation strategies to ensure a balanced and resilient portfolio Stakeholder Communication
– Support Fund Management team by providing insights and updates on sector-specific investments
– Engage with industry experts, attend relevant conferences, and monitor competitor strategies and sectoral shifts
– Contribute to thought leadership through sectoral outlooks and trend analyses
