Position : Chief Financial Officer ( CFO )

Location : Andheri – EAST ( Mumbai )

Responsibilities:

– Financial Strategy and Planning:


– Develop and implement financial strategies in alignment with the organization’s mission, goals, and objectives.

– Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic and strategic budgets.

– Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide regular reports to the executive team and Board of Directors.

– Financial Management and Compliance:


– Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls.

– Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and legal requirements.

– Manage relationships with auditors, regulatory agencies, and financial institutions.

– Risk Management and Internal Controls:


– Identify financial risks and implement appropriate risk management strategies.

– Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets and mitigate financial risks.

– Grant Management and Donor Reporting:


– Manage financial aspects of grants and contracts, including budget development, reporting, and compliance.

– Coordinate with program managers to ensure accurate and timely reporting to donors and funding agencies.

– Financial Sustainability and Growth:


– Work with the executive team to develop strategies for financial sustainability and growth.

– Explore opportunities for diversifying revenue streams and maximizing financial resources.

– Team Leadership and Development:


– Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

– Mentor and develop finance staff, supporting their professional growth and development.

Qualifications:


– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA or CA preferred.

– Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance executive in the NGO sector.

– Strong understanding of nonprofit financial management, including fund accounting, grant management, and compliance.

– Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial strategies to support organizational goals.

– Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

– Effective communicator with the ability to present financial information to diverse stakeholders.

– Strategic thinker with a commitment to transparency, integrity, and accountability.
