Overview

Key Responsibilities

– Lead all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely closure of books in line with applicable accounting standards (IGAAP/Ind AS).

– Manage the month-end and year-end close process, including reconciliations and financial analysis.

– Oversee statutory, internal, and external audits and maintain compliance with evolving regulatory frameworks.

– Ensure timely and accurate compliance with tax regulations such as GST, Income Tax, FEMA, and others.

– Supervise treasury functions, banking relationships, and working capital management.

– Design and implement internal controls, standard operating procedures, and risk mitigation strategies.

– Drive continuous improvement and automation within finance functions to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

– Partner with cross-functional leaders to align financial goals with broader business objectives.

– Track financial KPIs and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership.

– Mentor and develop finance team members to build a high-impact function.

– Foster a culture focused on operational excellence, simplification, and internal stakeholder satisfaction.

Experience:

– 10-15 years of relevant experience in financial control, compliance, and reporting.

– Strong exposure to managing audits, tax planning, and statutory matters.

– Prior experience in a fast-growth or dynamic industry environment is preferred.

– Background with a Big 4 audit firm is advantageous.

– Exposure to consumer-focused or digital businesses is a plus.

Education:

– Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.

Skills & Competencies:

– Deep understanding of IGAAP/Ind AS and corporate finance principles.

– Proficient in SAP and other leading financial systems.

– Sound knowledge of Indian tax laws and compliance frameworks.

– Demonstrated expertise in financial process design, controls, and automation.

– Analytical mindset with experience in financial performance tracking and improvement.

– Strong leadership qualities with a focus on team development and collaboration.

– Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, execution-oriented approach.
