Role Overview:
The Head of Finance / Vice President Finance will be responsible for leading the financial strategy, governance, and operations of the NBFC. This role involves managing capital adequacy,liquidity, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting, while supporting the business in achieving sustainable growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Strategy & Planning:
– Drive financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting for the NBFC.
– Provide insights on profitability, cost optimization, and capital structuring.
– Support management in fundraising, debt structuring, and treasury planning.
2. Regulatory & Compliance (NBFC Specific):
– Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, and other statutory requirements.
– Oversee timely filings with RBI, ROC, and other regulators.
– Maintain reporting accuracy for statutory audits and RBI inspections.
3. Risk Management & Controls
– Monitor ALM (Asset-Liability Management), credit risk, and liquidity risks.
– Implement strong internal financial controls and policies.
– Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis as per RBI requirements.
4. Financial Operations:
– Oversee accounting, taxation, treasury, and MIS functions.
– Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial statements, MIS, and Board reporting.
– Partner with business teams to evaluate new products, branches, and expansion plans.
5. Stakeholder & Investor Relations
– Build and manage relationships with banks, rating agencies, auditors, and investors.
– Support fundraising through equity, debt, and securitization.
– Present financials to the Board and senior leadership.
6. Leadership & Team Development
– Lead and mentor the Finance & Accounts team.
– Drive automation and digitization in financial processes.
– Build a strong compliance and performance-driven culture.
Key Skills & Competencies:
– In-depth knowledge of RBI regulations for NBFCs, ALM, and credit risk.
– Strong expertise in fundraising, securitization, and treasury management.
– Excellent financial modeling, analytical, and decision-making skills.
– Strong leadership and communication abilities.
– Experience in digital finance systems and automation.
Qualifications & Experience:
– Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA Finance from a reputed institute.
– 12-15 years of experience in Finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in an NBFC / Banking / Financial Services organization.
– Proven track record in handling RBI audits, compliance, and fundraising.
