Lead – Finance – Director’s Office
As the Lead Finance (Director’s Office), you will be responsible for building robust financial systems, managing planning & audits, streamlining processes, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial discipline across the organization. You will also execute cross-functional projects and lead new business initiatives. This is a high-ownership role ideal for someone who thrives in an early-stage, high-growth environment and brings both a strategic and execution-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
– Strategic Financial Planning: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling in alignment with the company’s long-term vision.
– Stakeholder Management: Act as the finance point of contact for leadership, investors, auditors, vendors, and other key stakeholders.
– Audit Oversight: Manage internal and statutory audits; ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.
– Process Streamlining: Build and improve finance-related processes across payments, reporting, vendor management, and internal controls.
– Cash Flow Management: Oversee inflows/outflows, working capital, and treasury operations to maintain a healthy cash position.
– Financial Operations: Supervise accounting, monthly reconciliations, financial closure, and MIS reporting.
– Compliance: Ensure timely compliance with taxation (GST, TDS, etc.), ROC filings, and legal finance requirements.
– Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Ops, Admissions, and Marketing teams to align financial goals with business objectives.
Ideal candidate:
– MBA in Finance from a Tier 1 college
– 3-7 years of experience in finance roles at an early stage or growth stage startup is preferred
– Proven track record in stakeholder management, audit oversight, and process development.
– Strong command over financial modeling, forecasting, accounting principles, and compliance frameworks.
– Experience in building systems from scratch in a startup or fast-scaling environment is highly preferred.
– Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
– Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on attitude.
