Job Description :
EYs Government & Public Sector (GPS) Advisory practice is seeking an Urban Finance & Taxation Expert to provide financial advisory support on municipal finance, taxation reforms, and resource mobilization. The role requires hands-on experience with municipal bonds, debt capital markets, and urban financial systems, combined with consulting skills in fiscal policy and financial restructuring.
Key Responsibilities :
– Advise on municipal finance, revenue reforms, and taxation frameworks.
– Support structuring, issuance, and management of municipal bonds.
– Provide technical assistance to ULBs on financial modeling, budgeting, and debt market participation.
– Benchmark financial frameworks and support resource mobilization strategies.
– Consulting Add-on: Develop policy briefs, financial dashboards, and fiscal strategy reports to strengthen urban revenue systems.
Requirements :
– Masters in Engineering / Commerce / Economics / Public Finance / MBA Finance / Chartered Accountant.
– Minimum 8 years of professional experience in municipal finance/urban finance.
– At least 3 years experience in Indian Debt Capital Markets (Bond Markets).
– Must have worked on at least one municipal bond issuance.
– Preferred: Big 4/top-tier consulting or financial advisory experience in public finance.
– Strong expertise in public sector accounting, taxation reforms, and debt financing.
