Position: Plant Finance Controller (Food Manufacturing Industry)
Location: Patna, Bihar
Experience Required: 10-14 years (preferably in FMCG / Food Manufacturing / Consumer Goods)
Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (ICWA)
Role Overview
The Plant Finance Controller will be responsible for overseeing the complete financial management and governance of the manufacturing plant. This role partners closely with operations, procurement, and supply chain teams to drive cost efficiency, ensure robust financial control, and enable strategic decision-making at the plant level.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Control
– Lead preparation of annual operating plans, budgets, and rolling forecasts for the plant.
– Drive variance analysis against budgets and highlight key performance trends and cost deviations.
– Ensure strong control over manufacturing expenses, overheads, and material usage variances.
2. Costing & MIS
– Oversee standard costing, product costing, and monthly cost reconciliations.
– Monitor BOM accuracy, yield efficiency, and waste reduction initiatives.
– Prepare and present detailed MIS reports on plant performance, cost optimization, and productivity KPIs.
3. Governance & Compliance
– Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, company policies, and statutory requirements.
– Liaise with internal/external auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
– Implement and monitor effective SOPs for all financial and operational processes at the plant.
4. Business Partnering & Decision Support
– Partner with the Plant Head and Operations teams to evaluate new projects, capacity expansion, and process improvements.
– Provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives around cost optimization, productivity enhancement, and capital investments.
– Drive automation and digitization initiatives to enhance process efficiency and accuracy.
5. Team Leadership
– Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering a culture of ownership, transparency, and performance excellence.
– Build cross-functional collaboration between finance, operations, and supply chain teams.

– Strong understanding of manufacturing finance, cost accounting, and plant operations.
– Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
– Ability to work under tight timelines with multiple stakeholders.
– Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems; advanced Excel skills.
– High degree of integrity and hands-on approach to execution.
