Job Description:- Wealth Management Research & Benchmarking
Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and analytical professional to join our team as a Senior Analyst. This role involves conducting in-depth industry and financial research to analyze and estimate key performance metrics for global investment banks’ Wealth Management divisions. You will be responsible for creating granular market size estimates, building forecast models, and providing critical benchmarking analysis that supports strategic decision-making for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
– Estimate granular, product-level key performance metrics (e.g., Revenue, Headcount, product structure, revenue types) for Wealth Management divisions.
– Create market size estimates for various WM segments (e.g., UHNW, HNW, Mass Affluent, Retail, Asset Management).
– Develop and maintain statistical models to build relationships between macroeconomic indicators and WM performance metrics to generate forecasts.
– Update and restructure financial and headcount databases using both qualitative insights and quantitative data.
– Explain, defend, and customize analytical output to support key client initiatives in strategy, investor communication, and senior management decision-making.
– Conduct advanced research using a broad set of resources (databases, financial platforms, etc.) and communicate findings through structured reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
– Manage and/or mentor a team of junior analysts while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
– Support business development and internal knowledge-building activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Must-Have Skills:
Education: MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, Statistics, or a similar analytical field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in financial research, analytics, or a related field within the financial services industry.
Sector Knowledge: Solid understanding of Wealth Management (WM), Private Banking, and Asset Management (AM) operations and products.
Analytical Ability: Strong quantitative skills with a proven ability to work with, analyze, and synthesize significant amounts of numerical and qualitative data.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including data modeling, pivot tables, advanced formulas) and Microsoft PowerPoint for creating client-ready presentations.
Autonomy: A high degree of independence, self-motivation, and a responsible attitude with the ability to complete tasks proactively and in a timely manner.
Communication: Excellent fluency in spoken and written English, with well-developed interpersonal and active listening skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
– Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or CAIA are a strong advantage.
– Working knowledge of professional information services like Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters Eikon.
– Prior experience in benchmarking, market sizing, or forecasting.
– Experience in managing or mentoring junior team members.
