JOB SUMMARY: A Branch Manager ( General Manager), is responsible for overseeing the end to end operations of a branch for a company. Their duties include driving the sales targets for the branch, ensuring optimum staffing, day to day branch operations, budgeting & expense management and Customer relations and services.

Duties And Responsibilities:

As the one responsible for managing all operations of a particular branch, a Branch Manager has various duties and responsibilities. Here are some of them:

– Ensuring the business targets allocated to that particular branch are achieved

– Branch budgeting, opex management and ensuring profitability of the branch. Taking all managerial and financial decisions on behalf of the company for the branch

– Branch Managers are responsible for entire performance Management of the employees including Hiring, training and evaluating performance for all branch staff to enhance productivity. Offer feedback and training as required. He / She inspires by recognizing the achievements of employees and encourage them to excel in their work environment.

– All customers are serviced promptly keeping without compromising with policies laid down by the Bank. Ensuring customer satisfaction scores are met / overachieved. Nurturing relationships with customers, vendors and the community.

– Ensuring smooth operations of the branch & adheres to organisations policies & statutory laws.

– Be responsible for the brand awareness in the community. Accordingly Organize promotional / marketing activities for the branch in order to promote brand recognition and business outcome.

– Assessing market conditions and identifying potential opportunities & forecasts business plans and growth.

– Collaborate with other branches / Central Head office to share knowledge, Insights and reach different goals.

Skills Required To Become a Branch Manager:

1. Post Graduate in Maths / statistics / MBA in Finance, from a tier 1, 2 Institute. Experience of Min. 6 years + of experience.

2. Good working knowledge of Banking process and products, statutory requirements.

3. Must have strong financial acumen with ability to analyse financial reports / data.

4. Time management skills to be able to juggle multiple priorities and ability to drive execution.

5. Mentor skills and ability to lead & inspire teams

6. Entrepreneurial mindset, so that excited about growing the business and acquiring new clients.
