Job Description – Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Pune, India (with global exposure)
Reporting To: CEO & Board of Directors
Role Overview:
– We are seeking a strategic and hands-on CFO to lead financial strategy, governance, and scalability as we grow into a global SaaS + IoT leader.
– The CFO will be a critical member of the executive leadership team, partnering with the CEO, Promoters, and Board to drive financial discipline, capital efficiency, global compliance, and shareholder value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
– Develop and execute a long-term financial strategy aligned with global expansion and product diversification.
– Partner with the CEO and Board on capital allocation, valuation, and fundraising (Beyond Series B).
– Provide strategic input into M&A opportunities, strategic alliances, and global market entry.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
– Build a robust financial planning, forecasting, and cohort-based revenue analysis framework.
– Drive subscription revenue analytics (ARR, MRR, churn, unit economics, CAC/LTV, payback) for SaaS and hardware-hybrid models.
– Establish KPI dashboards for real-time visibility into financial and operational performance.
Capital Markets & Fundraising:
– Lead equity/debt fundraising efforts, managing relationships with VCs, PEs, banks, and institutional investors.
– Oversee valuation, due diligence, and deal structuring.
– Manage investor relations, ensuring transparency and confidence in company performance.
Financial Controls & Compliance:
– Oversee accounting, audit, tax planning, and statutory compliance across India, North America, and other regions.
– Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP, IATF, and global transfer pricing norms.
– Implement internal controls, treasury, risk management, and governance frameworks.
Operational Finance & Global Expansion:
– Structure global entity setup, inter-company transactions, and cross-border tax optimization.
– Manage working capital, forex hedging, and procurement finance for large-scale hardware rollouts.
– Partner with Operations on supply chain financing, warranty costing, and gross margin optimization.
Team & Culture:
– Build and mentor a high-performing finance team across FP&A, accounting, investor relations, and compliance.
– Foster a data-driven, transparent, and scalable finance culture.
– Be a trusted partner to the CEO and Board, enabling decisive and informed strategic choices.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
– 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with at least 5+ years as CFO / senior finance leader in SaaS, IoT, deep-tech, or mobility sectors.
– Proven track record in scaling from Series A/B to growth stage (>$50M ARR) and managing global fundraising.
– Strong background in FP&A, subscription revenue analytics, and SaaS metrics.
– Expertise in international finance, cross-border tax, IFRS/GAAP, and compliance frameworks.
– Prior experience managing investor relations, M&A, and Board-level interactions.
– CA/CPA/MBA Finance or equivalent.
