Position Title: Chief Manager – FP&A Lead

Location: Kolkata (Corporate Office)

Reporting To: CFO

Industry: Food FMCG

Experience: 7- 10 years

Education: CA / MBA (Finance) preferred

Base Preference: Roots in or willingness to be based in Kolkata

Job Purpose:

To lead the FP&A function and act as a strategic business partner to the CFO and functional heads. The role involves managing the full spectrum of financial planning, budgeting, performance management, and business decision support. The ideal candidate should have worked in an emerging, fast-paced business environment and possess strong emotional intelligence, commercial acumen, and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Forecasting:

– Drive the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), rolling forecasts, and strategic plans

– Align financial plans with business objectives across functions

Business Performance Management:

– Analyze monthly performance against budget and forecast

– Conduct variance analysis, identify key business drivers, and recommend actions

Commercial and Cost Analytics:

– Analyze trade spends, channel profitability, SKU-level margins

– Support pricing, promotion, and distribution strategy through analytics

Financial Modelling & Reporting:

– Build robust financial models for scenario planning

– Automate and improve internal MIS and dashboards (Power BI/Excel)

Business Partnering:

– Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams

– Deliver financial insights that drive growth and efficiency

Stakeholder Engagement:

– Interact with CXO-level stakeholders and Board representatives as needed

– Present performance reviews and key insights for decision-making

Key Competencies:

– Hands-on with financial systems and tools (ERP, Power BI, Excel)

– Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills
