Overview
Essential Qualification & Experience :
– CA/MBA from a premium institute. Preferred CA -Ist Attempt
– 3 + years of experience in wholesale real estate credit division of a Bank /NBFC or Fund in Real Estate
– Must carry a deep understanding of the drivers of Real Estate and factors affecting the risks of lending to this segment.
– Minimum 3+ years of team handling experience. Preferable.
Key Responsibilities :
– Underwriting in real estate including builders and LRD
– Key responsibility is to ensure a through evaluation of Real Estate proposals including financials, security, regulation wrt to lending as well as real estate, sales projections, cash flow projections, micro markets and enterprise.
– Along with the team, conduct in depth analysis and comprehensive analysis of the projects and enterprise
– Take balanced decisions on underwriting risk within delegated authorities. Present a comprehensive and balanced analysis for enabling decisions in other cases.
– Periodically monitoring progress, through financials, sales and collection progress, approval status, construction status, etc.
– Conduct periodic reviews of the outstanding advances portfolio, including tracking pf progress and conditions at the time of sanctions. Initiate appropriate actions or escalations in case of deviations.
– Develop and maintain credit risk strategy and policy by continuous analysis of business and collection trends, risk assessment & mitigation thereof.
– Assist compliance team in regular audits and other data points.
