JD :

– A role which will provide a unique opportunity to look at credit ratings from a first principle basis, and to understand and develop rating methodologies across a range of corporate, infrastructure and financial sectors.

Job description:

– Formulate credit framework and rating criteria leveraging team which would be used by analysts to recommend ratings

– Take feedback from market (lender, issuers, market intermediaries) and analytical team regarding sectors to formulate criteria

– Have the criteria team analysts test the proposed credit criteria with data and present the results to a credit committee comprising senior management

– Articulate the credit framework in criteria committee and defend the same

– Internal and external presentations on the credit criteria

– Drive thought leadership by authoring articles/opinion pieces on bond markets

– Engage with market participants by sharing perspectives on our thought leadership articles

– Mentor and groom analysts in team

– Conduct training to analytical teams on criteria and handle ad-hoc queries

Requirements:

– Exceptional analytical skills

– Excellent verbal and analytical writing skills

– Strong domain expertise across multiple sectors

– Self-starter and strong learning orientation

– Inquisitive mind and ability to question the status quo

– 6-10 years of credit rating experience, preferably in large corporates

– Strong team and stakeholder management skills

– Good grasp of statistical concepts is desirable
