Position Overview:
– We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic professional to join our Investment Banking division as the Director – Investment Banking and Head of Consumer Durable & Healthcare Sector Coverage.
– The role will primarily focus on the Indian Consumer Durable & Healthcare sector and will involve strategic leadership of our Equity Capital Markets (ECM) transactions, while also contributing to the broader Investment Banking business including Private Equity (PE), M&A, and Structured Finance
– We are looking for a strategic leader to join our Investment Banking team as Director Investment Banking, with a sectoral focus on Consumer Durables & Healthcare.
– The ideal candidate will bring deep domain knowledge, a strong transaction record, and robust stakeholder relationships in the Indian capital markets space.
– This leadership role will drive origination and execution of high-impact deals across ECM (IPOs, QIPs, Rights, Preferential Issues), and support M&A, Private Equity, and Structured Finance transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead sector coverage for Consumer Durables & Healthcare, including home appliances, electronics, white goods, and adjacent verticals.
– Originate and execute Equity Capital Markets (ECM) transactions such as IPOs, QIPs, and Preferential Allotments.
– Build deep relationships with promoters, PE/VC funds, sovereign wealth funds, and institutional investors.
– Structure and execute Private Equity and M&A transactions end-to-end.
– Drive strategic mandates including capital raising, restructuring, and transformation deals.
– Mentor and lead a high-performing team; oversee training and development of junior bankers.
– Ensure regulatory compliance across SEBI and other applicable authorities.
Candidate Profile:
– MBA (Finance) / CA or equivalent from Tier 1 institute (IIM/ISB/FMS/NMIMS/SPJIMR/etc.)
– 10+ years of experience in Investment Banking with a strong focus on ECM, M&A, and PE.
– Proven track record in leading IPOs and strategic transactions.
– Extensive network with corporates, financial sponsors, and regulators.
– Expertise in financial modeling, due diligence, valuations, and roadshow execution.
– Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Merger Market, etc.
– Strong interpersonal, analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
