Description:
An exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded European Equities team at an asset management firm. The team is known for its long-term investment approach, managing high conviction funds with a disciplined, low-turnover strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting bottom-up fundamental research on companies and industries and contributing to portfolio decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct in-depth fundamental research and analysis on companies and industries
– Develop and maintain financial models to assess company performance and investment potential of companies
– Produce high conviction stock recommendations
– Prepare insightful research reports to present finds to the wider team
– Engage with company management
– Actively support the Portfolio Manager with portfolio construction, risk management and idea generation
– Attend client pitches and support with the growth of the European franchise
Candidate Requirements:
– 3 – 16 years of equity research experience on the buy-side with prior coverage of European companies
– CFA qualification (or progress toward it) is desirable
– Proven ability to find high-conviction investment ideas and articulate them persuasively.
– Strong financial modelling skills
– Ability to work independently and a good team player
