ElevenX Capital portfolio companies realize cost savings through resource consolidation and enable them to focus on core competencies while delegating non-core functions to EXC Managed Services.
JOB OVERVIEW:
– We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Controller to join our team and lead the financial management functions across both regions. FC will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Finance in streamlining the Finance Operation processes. This position involves leading the FinOps Team.
– The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong analytical skills, and can communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. MONTHLY, QUARTERLY, AND ANNUAL REPORTING:
– Oversee the timely preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for both Management and Statutory purposes.
– Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards in all reporting activities.
– Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide meaningful insights and analysis derived from financial reports.
– Manage monthly close process and oversee accounting team including AP, AR, etc.
2. FINANCIAL REPORTING AND ANALYSIS:
– Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
– Conduct detailed financial analysis to provide insights into investment performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
3. PROCESS IMPROVEMENT:
– Lead initiatives to assess, streamline, and improve current financial operations processes.
– Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in financial workflows and implement solutions for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
– Implement best practices to enhance the overall financial operations framework.
4. FINANCIAL PLANNING AND ANALYSIS (FP&A) SUPPORT:
– Work closely with the FP&A team to facilitate the budgeting and forecasting processes.
– Provide financial data and insights to support the development of accurate and realistic financial plans.
– Collaborate with FP&A Team to understand their financial needs and assist in the preparation of departmental budgets.
5. CROSS-BORDER FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:
– Manage financial operations in both the United States and India, navigating the complexities of international accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory requirements.
– Coordinate with local finance teams to ensure uniform financial practices and reporting standards across regions.
6. AUDIT AND COMPLIANCE OVERSIGHT:
– Lead the annual audit process, collaborating with external auditors to ensure timely completion and compliance with regulatory standards.
– Monitor and enforce adherence to financial policies and procedures.
7. TEAM LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT:
– Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and
professional growth.
– Conduct regular performance assessments and provide constructive feedback to enhance team capabilities.
8. RISK MANAGEMENT:
– Identify and assess financial risks associated with Financial Accounting, proposing risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the company’s financial interests.
– Stay abreast of regulatory changes in the financial landscape and proactively implement compliance measures.
9. PEO RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:
– Collaborate with the PEO to ensure seamless integration of HR and payroll functions, overseeing the accuracy of employee-related financial transactions.
– Work closely with the PEO to maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations in both the United States and India.
10. PAYROLL OVERSIGHT:
– Supervise the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in collaboration with the PEO.
– Verify payroll-related taxes and deductions to guarantee compliance with local regulations.
11. EMPLOYEE BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION:
– Manage and optimize employee benefit programs in partnership with the PEO.
– Address employee inquiries related to benefits and coordinate with the PEO to resolve issues.
12. AD HOC PROJECTS, SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION AND DATA MANAGEMENT:
– Ad-Hoc Analysis: Undertake special projects and ad-hoc analyses as required by senior management,
providing insights into specific financial or operational challenges.
– Data Integrity: Ensure data accuracy and consistency in financial models and reporting systems and
implement necessary controls to safeguard financial data integrity.
– Financial Systems: Assist in the implementation and improvement of financial systems, tools, and
technologies to enhance financial planning and analysis processes.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
– Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Masters degree or professional certification (CA, CFA, CPA) is a plus.
– Proven experience of 8+ Years in managing financial operations in both the United States and India. preferably in a corporate finance environment or a similar role.
– Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
– Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends and provide
actionable insights.
– Proactive problem-solving attitude, constantly seeking ways to improve processes and deliver value to
the organization.
– Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to nonfinance stakeholders.
– Detail-oriented, with a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.
– Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fastpaced environment.
– Experience with financial systems and ERP software, such as QuickBooks, preferred.
