Overview
Brief Profile of the Candidate:
– Collaborate in the discovery and development of enduring revenue solutions for the Municipal Corporation from both current and potential new sources.
– Assess the viability of issuing municipal bonds for Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).
– Conduct comprehensive reviews of legal and policy documents to accurately identify revenue streams assigned to local authorities.
– Analyze the Urban Local Bodies’ financial operations, including budgeting, spending patterns, and sources of revenue.
– Investigate existing revenue generation and collection mechanisms in ULBs and formulate strategic plans to close any gaps and boost revenue collection.
Our Ideal Candidate:
– Brings a minimum of 6 years’ experience in municipal finance.
– Holds a postgraduate degree in Public Policy, MBA, Economics or is a certified CA.
– Have previous experience in working with Urban Local Bodies / Department of Urban Local Bodies / Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs
– Have experience in accounting and finance implementation within ULBs
– Is motivated to make a meaningful contribution to the financial resilience of Urban Local Bodies.
– Is eager to work on a transformative project that can fundamentally alter public financial management.
– Is open to travel across India
