Known for its governance standards, financial discipline, and scale of operations, the company is looking to hire a seasoned finance leader to oversee critical financial operations across its business units.

Job Description:

The Finance Controller will lead the finance function for the organization, ensuring robust financial controls, timely reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. This is a high-visibility leadership role that partners closely with business heads, auditors, and the executive team.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Control:

– Oversee the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans.

– Lead monthly and quarterly financial reviews with senior leadership.

– Ensure timely and accurate preparation of MIS and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

– Accounting & Reporting

– Supervise end-to-end accounting operations in accordance with Indian GAAP / Ind AS.

– Ensure timely closure of books and preparation of financial statements.

– Drive process improvements in the financial reporting cycle and reporting automation.

Audit & Compliance:

– Lead internal and statutory audits, ensuring zero non-compliance.

– Liaise with external auditors and consultants.

– Ensure compliance with SEBI regulations, Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, and other statutory requirements.

– Cost Management & Controls

– Monitor cost structures and recommend cost optimization strategies.

– Establish controls to prevent leakage and drive financial efficiency across the organization.

– Partner with project and operations teams to maintain project-level financial discipline.

– Treasury & Working Capital Management

– Manage cash flow forecasting, fund planning, and banking relationships.

– Optimize working capital cycles including receivables, payables, and inventory management.

– Support strategic decisions around debt structuring, fund raising, and capital allocation.

Team Leadership:

– Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.

– Drive a culture of accountability, ethics, and continuous improvement.

– Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, commercial, procurement, and project teams.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

– Chartered Accountant (CA) is a must; additional MBA/CMA/CPA preferred.

– 12-18 years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, and controls.

– Prior experience in a listed entity or large infrastructure/manufacturing organization is strongly preferred.

– Strong knowledge of Ind AS, SAP, and financial consolidation tools.

– Proven leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
