Overview

Job Summary: Group MIS Manager is responsible to design, implement and manage the group-wide MIS framework. This role is central to ensuring that leadership has timely, accurate and meaningful insights for decision- making. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with data analysis, reporting and dashboard creation, while also contributing to budgeting, strategic initiatives and performance tracking across all business units.

Key Responsibilities:

1. MIS Reporting & Data Analysis

– Develop and deliver MIS reports at the group level (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly).

– Consolidate financial, operational and performance data across multiple businesses.

– Perform variance and trend analysis with clear commentary on business performance along with mitigation measures.

– Build executive dashboards and summaries highlighting key KPIs, risks and opportunities.

– Ensure all MIS reports are accurate, consistent and delivered on time to senior management and the board.

2. Systems & Process Management:

– Drive automation of MIS reporting to reduce manual work and errors.

– Collaborate with teams to enhance reporting capabilities.

– Safeguard the accuracy, consistency and security of MIS data across platforms.

– Continuously improve reporting processes to increase efficiency and speed.

3. Business & Strategic Support:

– Provide MIS insights for budgeting, forecasting and long-term business planning.

– Monitor business performance against budgets, KPIs and strategic goals.

– Deliver analytical support for strategic projects, mergers & acquisitions and investment evaluations.

– Contribute to board presentations, investor reports and senior leadership reviews.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration:

– Partner with finance, operations, HR and business heads to gather and validate data.

– Act as the group’s go-to person for MIS requirements.

– Support leadership teams with ad-hoc reports, deep dives and data-driven insights.

5. Team Leadership & Development:

– Lead and mentor MIS executives/analysts across group companies.

– Build a culture of accuracy, timeliness and continuous improvement.

– Strengthen in-house expertise in analytics, reporting automation and dashboard design.

Key Skills & Competencies:

– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

– Knowledge on Tally / SAP and should be able to work independently.

– Advanced expertise in Excel.

– Ability to simplify complex data and present it clearly.

– Strong business understanding of finance, operations and strategy.

– Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.

– Attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience:

– Master’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field.

– 8-12 years of experience in MIS, business analysis or corporate reporting, ideally in a group or holding company setup.

– Proven track record in data analytics, reporting automation and management-level reporting.

– Willingness to travel frequently to project sites, client offices and vendor locations as required.
