Overview
Position: Head – Project Finance
Location: Mumbai
Reporting To: Country Head
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy & Leadership:
– Develop and execute the bank’s project finance strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
– Build and manage a robust pipeline of project finance opportunities across sectors such as infrastructure, energy, real estate, and manufacturing.
– Provide strategic direction to the project finance team to ensure consistent growth and profitability.
2. Business Development
– Identify new business opportunities and establish strong relationships with corporate clients, government entities, and financial institutions.
– Structure and negotiate large-scale project finance deals, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and risk appetite.
– Represent the bank in high-level discussions, client meetings, and industry forums.
3. Credit Structuring & Risk Management
– Oversee credit assessment, structuring, and due diligence of large project finance deals.
– Ensure compliance with credit policies, banking regulations, and risk management frameworks.
– Monitor the project portfolio to mitigate risks and maximize returns while ensuring minimal NPAs.
4. Team Leadership & Development
– Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing project finance team.
– Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
– Drive training initiatives to enhance the team’s technical expertise and market knowledge.
5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
– Collaborate with internal teams such as legal, compliance, risk, and treasury to execute seamless transactions.
– Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including lenders, investors, consultants, and regulators.
Qualifications and Experience:
– Education: MBA in Finance, Chartered Accountant (CA), or equivalent qualification.
– Experience: Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in project finance or corporate banking.
– Demonstrated success in originating and executing large project finance transactions.
– Prior experience in leadership roles within financial institutions is preferred.
