Overview
Key Responsibilities
– Manage all aspects of GST, Income Tax, TDS, Customs, Excise, and other statutory levies.
– Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns and compliance submissions.
– Develop tax planning initiatives to optimize the effective tax rate.
– Handle audits, assessments, appeals, and litigation.
– Stay abreast of regulatory changes and assess business impact.
– Advise leadership on tax implications of business activities such as restructuring, M&A, and capex.
– Liaise with consultants, legal advisors, and tax authorities for issue resolution.
– Ensure strong documentation and compliance processes.
– Strengthen internal controls and tax governance.
– Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Operations, and other functions on tax matters.
Candidate Requirements
– Chartered Accountant (CA) with 12-20 years of relevant experience.
– Background in large-scale manufacturing, FMCG, energy, or agro-industrial sectors preferred.
– Expertise in GST, Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, and related litigation.
– Experience managing tax for multi-location, multi-entity organizations.
– Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Tally) and tax software.
– Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
– Additional qualifications like LL.B., DISA, or CPA (Tax) are a plus.
