About the Role:
A newly established confidential family office is seeking an Investment Analyst to support the identification, evaluation, and execution of early-stage investments. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with an experienced founder-investor, helping to deploy capital from both personal funds and operating entities. Investments typically range from – 2 lakhs to – 4 crores, focused on highly promising, early-stage ventures.
Key Responsibilities:
Source Early-Stage Opportunities:
– Proactively identify promising startups and founders at the pre-seed and seed stage by engaging with accelerators, incubators, pitch nights, and the broader startup ecosystem.
Actively Engage with the Ecosystem:
– Attend key industry events, founder meetups, demo days, and participate in relevant online and offline communities to stay informed on emerging trends and developments, particularly within gaming.
Evaluate Investment Opportunities:
– Conduct market research, analyze business models, assess founding teams, and perform diligence to inform investment decisions. Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for internal review.
Support Deal Execution:
– Assist with drafting term sheets, negotiations, and coordination with legal and financial advisors. Help track and monitor the performance of portfolio companies post-investment.
Build and Maintain Relationships:
– Develop strong connections with founders, ecosystem partners, and other investors to ensure early access to high-quality deal flow.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
– 1-4 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, strategy consulting, or as a startup founder/operator.
– Solid analytical, financial modeling, and research skills.
– Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
– High degree of ownership, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured environment.
– Strong network-building abilities and curiosity about emerging technologies and sectors.
