Overview

Tax Strategy & Planning:

– Develop and implement the organization’s tax strategy to optimize tax liabilities.

– Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international tax laws and regulations.

Tax Compliance:

– Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all direct and indirect tax returns, including corporate tax, GST/VAT, TDS, transfer pricing, and customs duties.

– Ensure accurate tax provisioning and reporting in financial statements.

Advisory & Risk Management:

– Advise management on tax implications of business decisions, mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring.

– Identify and mitigate tax risks through proactive monitoring and controls.

Audit & Litigation Management:

– Manage tax audits, assessments, and investigations by tax authorities.

– Handle litigation and represent the organization in tax disputes and appeals

Team Leadership:

– Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.

– Provide training and updates on changes in tax laws and regulations.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

– Work closely with internal departments, external advisors, and government agencies.

– Ensure alignment of tax strategy with business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience:

– CA/CPA or equivalent qualification is mandatory.

– Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in taxation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

– In-depth knowledge of direct and indirect tax laws, transfer pricing, and international taxation.

– Experience in handling tax audits, compliance, and litigation.

– Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

– Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
