Who we are ?

Kaleidofin is a fintech focused on the mission to build a digital ecosystem ensuring finance for everyone, everywhere. We provide the ki credit platform, combining credit health assessment (ki score), middleware rails and best-in-class risk management (ki view) to enable the financial ecosystem to serve customers better. Via credit health scores for impactful finance and innovative debt structures to scale, Kaleidofin is driving towards its goal to unlock access to tailored finance for women, agri and nano entrepreneurs – in India, Bangladesh and East Africa and expanding. The platform has unlocked debt capital of cumulatively more than USD 3 billion for more than 5 million customers and small enterprises working in the informal economy.

Over the years, Kaleidofin has raised capital of USD 37 million from marquee investors, including Rabo Partnerships, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, Oiko Credit, Flourish, Omidyar Network, Blume Ventures, and Bharat Fund, who share our commitment to financial inclusion and impact.

Kaleidofin has received exceptional international recognition in being featured as one of only six Indian companies on the Forbes 100 To Watch in Asia list and in being selected to present at the United Nations General Assembly Special Task Force. What you’ll do ?

This full-time position presents a unique opportunity for ambitious individuals to gain hands-on experience in two key areas: Emerging Markets and the Founders’ Office. You will work closely with senior management and contribute to high-impact projects, from market entry research to operational excellence initiatives. This role offers exposure to cross-functional collaboration, and real world problem-solving, equipping you with the skills needed to excel in the fintech and financial services industries.

1. Emerging Markets Research :

– Conduct thorough market research and analysis on financial inclusion trends, competitors, and regulatory landscapes in Kenya and East Africa where we want to initiate our expansion.

– Develop actionable insights and strategic recommendations to inform Kaleidofin’s market entry and expansion plans.

2. Debt Capital Markets :

– Bond Issuances: Assist in gathering data and preparing reports related to bond issuances, learning about market trends and transaction processes.

– Market Research: Conduct research on centralized bond markets and emerging financing techniques to support strategic decision-making.

– Structured Finance Learning: Assist senior team members with developing financial models, gaining exposure to structured finance transactions

3. Align with Ki Credit Platform :

– Support senior managers in integrating selected originators into the Ki Credit debt capital markets platform.

– Assist in preparing materials and demonstrations of the platform’s capabilities for potential clients.

4. Strategic Project Management:

– Collaborate with the Founders’ Office on mission-critical projects, including market expansion, and partnership evaluation.

– Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and models that will be presented to internal and external stakeholders.

5. Cross-functional Coordination:

– Work with teams across product, finance, and business development to ensure smooth execution of strategic initiatives.

– Monitor and report on key project milestones, risks, and outcomes

– The candidate will be suitably well versed with the appropriate information security responsibilities for the role and is responsible for adhering to them.

Who you need to be ?

– Management graduates from a premier B-school or holding a postgraduate degree in finance.

– Female candidates are preferred.

– At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience

– Must have prior exposure to business/financial analysis, business valuations, projects/program management.

– Prior experience of working in a Fintech firm, Investment Banking or Consulting firms is preferred. Interest/knowledge of the fintech industry and financial inclusion initiatives would be an added advantage.

– Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen attention to detail.

– Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with experience preparing reports and presentations.

– Ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where strategic thinking and initiative is valued.

– A deep interest in economics, fintech, financial inclusion, and emerging markets.

– This role is based in Chennai but requires at least 20% travel. We are looking for candidates to be open to travel to Kenya and other parts of East Africa on a need basis.
