Overview
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting
– Lead the end-to-end preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements in compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act, 2013
– Manage month-end and year-end close processes including General Ledger accuracy, Trial Balance closure, intercompany billings, inter company, eliminations and consolidation adjustments.
– Ensure alignment of accounting policies across entities and maintain up-to-date consolidation procedures.
– Prepare monthly/quarterly management reporting deliverables including financial summaries, variance analysis.
Related party transaction monitoring
– Identify, track, and report related party transactions in accordance with Companies Act, 2013, and SEBI regulations
– Maintain an updated RPT register and ensure appropriate disclosures in financial statements and board reports.
– Liaise with internal stakeholders and auditors to ensure transparency and regulatory compliance in all RPTs.
– Assist in preparing documentation for Audit Committee/Board approval of RPTs.
Investment Valuation – Important
– Oversee fair valuation and accounting treatment of company investments, including strategic equity
investments. Ensure compliance with Ind AS 109 and related financial instruments standards.
– Liaise with external valuation consultants or auditors on complex valuation matters.
Compliance, Audit & Controls
– Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and corporate governance frameworks.
– Coordinate with statutory auditors for quarterly and year-end audits and group reporting requirements.
Team Leadership & Process Improvement
– Lead and mentor the team for their respective processes.
– Drive automation and process improvement initiatives in financial reporting systems (e.g., consolidation tools).
– Collaborate cross-functionally with CS including Legal, FP&A Business teams.
