About the Role:
We are hiring a Tax Reviewer with a strong background in handling Individual (1040), Partnership (1065), and S-Corporation tax returns, specifically for High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs).
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in reviewing complex tax filings, managing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. This is a leadership role requiring deep technical expertise, client service excellence, and team management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
– Review and manage complex federal and state tax returns for High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs)
– Review individual tax returns including Form 1040
– Review business entity tax returns, particularly Partnership (1065) and S-Corporation (1120S)
– Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to HNI clients
– Stay updated with federal and state tax legislation affecting individuals and pass-through entities
– Mentor, guide, and lead a team of junior tax professionals and preparers
– Review tax workpapers, ensure compliance with internal policies and professional standards
– Manage client communications and relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and timely delivery
– Collaborate with other departments for holistic financial and tax planning for clients
– Ensure accurate and timely tax filings in a deadline-driven environment
Required Qualifications and Skills:
– Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory
– 5-8 years of experience in reviewing and managing U.S. individual and business tax returns
– Strong understanding of U.S. Individual (1040), Partnership (1065), and S-Corporation (1120S) tax codes
– Exposure to HNIs and high-complexity tax scenarios
– Proficiency in tax software like CCH Axcess, GoSystem, or similar platforms
– Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
– Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
– Ability to lead a team, provide mentorship, and manage review processes
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines effectively
