Overview

– Independently assess, evaluate, and recommend credit cases in line with the Banks risk appetite across products, client types, and industries.

– Complete thorough credit risk evaluations for corporate finance and structured transactions, including term and trade credit deals.

– Ensure all credit facilities are prepared, reviewed, and approved as per internal policies and regulatory exposure limits.

– Act as the custodian of the Credit Policies and Procedures for India Branches; propose necessary amendments and ensure smooth implementation of approved changes.

– Provide advisory support to Business Units and other stakeholders on credit-related matters, helping structure transactions to mitigate credit risk.

– Monitor and report risk exposures originating from business units to the Head Office, highlighting any material deviations from set parameters.

– Coordinate with regulatory authorities and external auditors, ensuring smooth conduct of audits and inspections focused on credit risk management.

– Support regulatory and compliance matters related to Credit Risk and maintain updated knowledge of RBI regulations and guidelines.

– Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors from time to time, supporting the broader Risk Management function.

Candidate Profile:

Educational Qualifications:

Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory

Professional Experience:

– 11-13 years of experience in Credit Risk Management within the Corporate or Investment Banking sector at a reputed Bank.

– Strong technical expertise in credit approval processes, credit risk systems, controls, and governance frameworks.

– Hands-on experience in evaluating large corporate exposures, complex credit structures, and risk mitigation techniques.

Technical Skills:

– Sound understanding of Indian Company Law, Banking Law, RBI Master Directions, and credit risk regulatory framework.

– Knowledge of legal recovery processes and enforcement actions in India.

– Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.

Behavioral Skills:

– Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders across levels and geographies.

– Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and multicultural teams.

– High attention to detail, risk awareness, and a structured approach to problem-solving.
