– The Investment Banking Analyst/Associate will support senior bankers during every phase of the deal process including transaction origination and execution across multiple sectors. Common tasks will include contributing or leading the writing and development of both the initial pitch material and descriptive memoranda and will actively participate in drafting sessions and due diligence meetings.
– The role will be assigned a wide variety of projects and given as much responsibility as their experience and capabilities permit.
Principle areas of responsibility include:
– Work extensively on a broad range of financial transactions including, but not limited to, mergers and acquisitions, private/public equity, refinancing, and balance sheet restructuring
– Participate in client meetings, including business solicitation, drafting and executing operational and financial due diligence
– Completion of industry and company research, quantitative analysis, company valuation analysis and financial modeling
– Communicate regulatory, financial information and complex strategic issues in a clear, concise and relevant manner to assist and guide decision-makers in corporate finance transactions
– Ability to market services both to internal directors and external clients, develop client networks, and support efforts in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies
– Identify and pursue new business opportunities when appropriate
Desired Skills and Experience:
– Excellent Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Words skills
– Strong financial modeling aptitude required
– Superior communication skills, written and verbal
– Highly motivated self-starter able to work within a close knit team environment and also work independently
– Outstanding competency in financial modeling, valuations and financial analysis
– A critical thinker who can quickly and accurately evaluate and analyze companies and financial information
– Exceptional attention to detail
– Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (Finance major/ CFA/ CA preferred)
– Must have 0-1 years of investment banking (preferred), management consulting experience
