About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Controller to lead the finance function for a large company in the manufacturing sector based in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 18 years of progressive experience, preferably within manufacturing or capital-intensive industries. Expertise in IFRS (or strong working knowledge) is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
– Oversee end-to-end financial management, including accounting, reporting, and statutory compliance.
– Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in line with IFRS standards.
– Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
– Monitor internal controls, risk management, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
– Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
– Lead finance teams and support business strategy through financial insights and reporting.
– Support cost control, capital expenditure reviews, and working capital optimization.
– Implement and improve financial processes and systems for greater efficiency and transparency.
Key Requirements:
– Chartered Accountant (CA) with 18+ years of relevant experience.
– Strong knowledge or hands-on experience in IFRS reporting and accounting.
– Proven leadership experience in managing teams and financial operations.
– Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
