JOB DESCRIPTION:

SEBI Registered Merchant Banking entity of repute focusing on Equity Capital Market transactions, valuation, and other advisory services is looking for CA / MBA to join the team at Mumbai office.

Qualification: CA / MBA / CFA

Location: Mumbai

Job profile

– The candidate will be part of the team handling certain functions independently and others as part of the team.

The job responsibilities would include:

Valuation:

– Conduct quantitative and qualitative fundamental valuation on companies

– Valuations and Financial modeling – DCF and Comparable Company Analysis

– Determining the Company value on different valuation techniques

– In-depth understanding of valuation techniques, principles, and strong command over financial modeling

– Research / Analysis

– Company and Industry Analysis

– Identification of comparable

– Precedent identification and research for the subject transaction

– Industry sector analysis and transaction tracking

– Transaction Support

– Due Diligence and Compliances

– Ratio analysis and preparation of financial sections of the offer document

Need-based:

– Execution of Capital Market mandates viz. IPO (Main Board / SME), QIP, Rights Issue, FPO, Open Offer, Buyback, Delisting, etc.

– Liaison with clients, legal advisers, registrar, auditors, syndicate members, other advisers, SEBI, Stock Exchanges, and other intermediaries involved for efficient transaction processing

– Marketing and Business Development

– Preparing teasers pitch books and Information Memorandum

– Identifying potential targets for the transaction

– Establishing connects with the Targets for higher-level interactions

– Handling mandate leads

Others:

– MIS preparation

– Regulatory compliance and communication

Knowledge and Skill Set Required:

– Experience in Merchant/ Investment Banking – 1 to 5 years

– Strong quantitative and analytical skills

– Excellent computer skills – advanced Excel, Power Point

– Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

– High motivation and multitasking skills

– Ability to learn quickly new concepts and activities

– Work independently as well as within a team

– In-depth understanding of valuation techniques, principles, and strong command over financial modeling

– Sound knowledge of corporate laws, SEBI laws and transaction execution experience

– Command over written English – for marketing as well as regulatory communication

– Ability to manage client engagements satisfactorily with maturity.
