Overview
Opportunity with a leading Global Growth Private Equity fund to hire for their Portfolio Operating team in Mumbai.
We’re looking to connect with relevant folks who meet the following criteria:
– Currently an Engagement Manager / Early Project Leader (or equivalent) at a Tier 1 Consulting firm.
JD:
1. Value Creation Planning:
– Partner with investment teams pre-deal to conduct commercial and operational due diligence.
– Develop post-acquisition value creation plans (VCPs) in collaboration with portfolio management and deal teams.
– Identify GTM enhancements, cost-saving initiatives, and growth levers across new and existing investments.
2. GTM Strategy Execution:
– Redesign or enhance the commercial engine (sales org structure, pricing, customer segmentation, channel strategy).
– Implement salesforce effectiveness programs, CRM adoption, and optimize customer acquisition costs (CAC).
– Launch or optimize digital GTM initiatives, including e-commerce or digital demand generation.
3. Cost Transformation:
– Lead bottom-up cost benchmarking and efficiency programs across SG&A, procurement, and supply chain
– Drive zero-based budgeting (ZBB), shared services, and outsourcing where applicable.
– Oversee or coordinate lean operations or Six Sigma initiatives for cost and quality improvement.
4. Operational Execution & Implementation:
– Act as an interim transformation leader or PMO for high-impact initiatives at portfolio companies.
– Implement KPI tracking, dashboards, and operating rhythms to institutionalize performance improvement.
– Troubleshoot bottlenecks in supply chain, tech implementation, or process redesign.
5. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management:
– Work with founders, CEOs, and CXOs to align on strategy and execution priorities.
– Drive change management, often stepping in to coach or upskill senior portfolio company leaders.
– Coordinate across functions (Product, Marketing, Ops, HR) to ensure cross-functional alignment.
6. Exit Readiness:
– Support the preparation for exits by enhancing reporting, scalability, and telling a strong value-creation story.
– Package operational and commercial KPIs for exit documents and management presentations.
Preferred: Experience in working on GTM Strategy, Cost Optimization, Cost Transformation
– Experience should be in one of the following industries: healthcare, FMCG and retail
